I'm currently hauling cars with a company out of Florida. Before this I pulled eggs out of Georgia. The money (when not broken down) is great hauling cars. My best check so far was about $2,000 gross in a week on e-logs. That's a rare occurrence but avg gross ranges between 1,000 to 1,500.

All this being said, I have twin boys at home that just turned 2 and one has special needs (cerebral palsy). I don't mind being gone but I'm missing a lot.

I've been considering two local fuel companies, Lewis & Raulerson and Fuel South (Flash Foods). Both are in Waycross, GA. I've heard the pay is good. I've just got to get my hazmat and tanker endorsement.

Can anyone help with information on pay? I'm tired of hopping in spares here.... I'm in my 3rd truck this week and I'll have over a months worth of bad checks because of sh***y trucks.

Sounds real familiar! I quit haulin cars in 1999. Got a local job so I could be around the wife kids. Might not make the big money for a while but you will be getting experience under your belt and have a family life too. And it aint worth it runnin junk. While your working local you can keep an eye open for better opportunities. Im on a dedicated run now, making 1000.00 - 1140.00 a week. Home 3 nights a week and weekends playing with my little 7 yr old and chasing Mama around the house. A good opportunity will come along for you too! Best to you...

Yeah I catch a 34 at home and that's it. I've heard that pulling fuel locally would be the best money to be home every day. I don't know anyone with these two companies but I'm hoping to get more information.
