Anyone on here work for Dillon Transport? I just wondered how they are as a company, what the pay is, and how the equipment is. Also, what are the trucks governed at?
Any other information would be great. Thanks.

I worked in Tampa for a while ,just wasn't enough work to stay busy. The trucks were set at 55mph which really sucked.most of the work is for mosaic which is very unpredictable.

They are constantly running ads for drivers, which I see as a bad sign.

they pay percentage, constant ads for drivers too,,makes one wonder why the turn over

I see the billboard advertising some pretty outstanding gross annual figures - don't know of any drivers with whom to verify these numbers.
Equipment looks clean, often see them out on 40. -

Yeah, constant advertising for drivers can't be a good sign.

Its funny they have must have a tiny hiring area applied for them out of Charlotte and the Wilmington terminal said I was way too far out of the zone lol like 150 miles?
-
They have been flooding Craigslist and INDEED with ads for several months for a supposed new terminal being built out here somewhere. Pilot,Savage, and a few others seem to have conglomerated almost everything. I can't see them making a big impact unless they pull a mega-carrier and underbid everyone and pay Schneider oilfield wages

A friend of mine down in Florida worked for them local hauling lime out of Brooksville, FL. No confidence in a full paycheck every week so he had to bail. He only lasted about 4 or 5 months, and he's not the job hopper type. Flexible work schedule, which most people don't like. No set start time, or end time. He drove days, slip/seat. Mon, Tue, Wed he could expect work. Thursday and Fridays he might not get as many loads, or not work at all. He had to work most weekends. He wasn't even on par to make 45k as an experienced driver, so even being local, it wasn't worth it. Slowed down considerably in July and August. The equipment is good with newer trucks, APUs, sirius radio, and satellite TV for OTR trucks. Pay and schedule are very inconsistent if you are local.
