Hi everyone, I just graduated cdl school about a month ago and decided to buy me a dump truck. It's a 1987 kenworth t800 with a 350 cummins big cam. I have a few questions, first what's a good way of maintaining the truck? Like service schedule. Also what are good pointers y'all could give me about everything that has to do with my truck.

All Depends on how much off road driving it will used on, get and keep grease gun on truck fill every grease fitting till you get idea how long grease stays in them, change all oil in eng. trans an rears, then you will keep track of mi. that you have to add oil an write in mant. book you keep in truck?

Dump trucks take a beating what with loading/unloading in dusty places and being off road. More oil changes grease jobs etc. Your weekends will be busy ! Have a mechanic you can work with, unless you can do the work yourself.

I would check everything and grease at least weekly. Drivetrains should be regularly checked. U-joints can take a beating with dumps.
