I put in an app with them.
Curious if the pay is decent there, and how they treat you.
Not afraid of long days, just short paychecks.
Anybody driving milk tankers for RUAN out of Ripon, CA?

I worked for them for a number of years in SoCal, I liked it, the money was okay, I liked the 5 on 2 off 5 on 3 off but some family guys did not want an extra day off every other week. There were phone company discounts, liberal days off policy, and I was treated well as long as I let them know that was expected. Overall a fairly easy job.
jet460 Thanks this. -
Thanks. They are proceeding with my app. I hope they hire me. Not too happy where I am right now. The dollars don't equal the hours.

Jet 460, my husband just applied at Ruan also so I have been researching them. Look at post "Ruan San Antonio dedicated", most current about Ruan that I could find, earlier 2014, and he gives good information about pay being received. My husband is looking for change for same reason as you. Good luck and would appreciate any posts when you start with Ruan, your observations about the company. I've subscribed to this thread, so if you post here I'll be able to see if you have posted. Good luck!!

Had an interview yesterday.
Nice people.
Took a road test.
It's a union job.
Teamsters.
Lots of hours, which I expected, but you also have a set schedule.
5 on. 2 off.
5 on. 3 off.
So far it sounds ideal for me.
Physical next week. -
That's good news jet460. Congrats! I actually have been following the thread you are on called Modesto Boyz; I didn't even realize you were the same person as the Ruan person until I saw the boat! I thought ... that looks familiar! LOL So are all jobs at Ruan union, and did the description of the job when you applied indicate it was union? My husband hasn't been told anything about the job being union. He is in the process of having the background checks done. Thanks for staying in touch! From what I've read of your trucking life so far, you really deserve a nice 5 day a week job! Haven't gotten through the whole thread yet though! Maybe you moved into a real cushy job in the last year or so ... You must have gotten tanker experience though ... or just your cert? Aren't you pulling a tanker for this new job?
