I'm out of the Rahway terminal and so far I've heard mixed reviews about lease to purchase through Quality Carriers. I don't mind working but I don't want to do otr because I have a wife and kids at home. However if I do decide to get a truck from Quality Carriers I would love to hear anybody that have ever experienced this situation to give me some advice or a heads up. Just want to make more money and take care of my family.

Also if anyone know of another tanker outfit in central New Jersey that pay pretty well without you having to drive yourself to death and I mean that literally. Any info would be very helpful. I'm experienced and I don't mind working as long as I get home to my family in the evening. Thanks

Do so at your own risk, most guys don't finish the lease. My buddy is trying to finish his and it's one thing after another. You are at the mercy of dispatch and they seem to be greedy #######.

I guess it really depends on which terminal you run out of. Houston has a really bad reputation. That's not to say that a different terminal won't treat you better.

I run out of Houston....771 terminal....I'm doing just fine to be honest...it might be the Laporte terminal you speaking on...but me and a couple other o/o at 771 happy as ever

But then again this is my first time leasing my truck on to a tanker company...so it could be a heck of a lot more money out there and I just don't know it

You're right, he's running out of la porte. He did the lease purchase thing (which I tried to talk him out of) and it hasn't been good. He doesn't want to walk away from it because he feels he'll be losing money. It's the old carrot on a stick routine, don't quit because you'll lose the money you already spent. But we won't allow you to make enough to pay your truck off.

You can try Transport Service. They share a yard in Avenel with Dana. Near the turnpike. But you can apply online with KAG....Kenan Advantage Group.
    Good luck.

Heard Keenan had a high accident rate. Hope they are better than they were. They had 76 reportable accidents this year for 1300 drivers.
