    Very Cool!
My first thought was, Oh ####, no reach! then, Cool! Then, hmm, wonder whats gonna happen when a little cedar bark jabs through a wiring harness and causes a malfunction?...

Does the driver steer it or does it do it itself??

The driver steers it and some have an automatic mode. Back in the late 70s, Meenan Oil used to run 10,000 gal fuel oil tankers in NYC with this/similar option. It responded to the steer axle and turned the opposite direction so drivers could navigate tight streets and turns. I'm not sure why they discontinued them, but they did around 1982 or so.

If you want to see more of these, just go down to the port of Houston. You will see them lined up for blocks waiting to be loaded with wind turbine blades coming into the port.

You can still get steerable dollies. We currently have 4 of them for moving bridge beams. 137 footers this summer. Not getting around corners without knocking something down without them. The driver has a remote in the cab. Fresh batteries on every trip... LOL
