If anyone is interested in moving to Hawaii we got an opening at our Hilo, Hawaii plant. Teamsters pay and benefits. Overtime after 8 hours. Double time after 12. Although I am on a different island "Oahu" we are all on the same bargaining unit contract. Cost of living is similar to living in CA. Drive coast to coast and be home every night.

Thanks for the info. Just out of curiosity, do you have trouble finding drivers there? I don't mean just your company, but trucking in general.

I would love to move out of Maryland, I would definitely consider this. Any way we could talk tomorrow during day? PM me for phone number or please PM me your number. I could move within two weeks if this is serious and it would be possible to be pre-hired before I move there.

Dang. I shoulda got my cdl when I was still living on O'ahu. Texas just doesn't compare.
Closest water is at the bottom of the state and I live at the top...500 miles away.
I'm surprised you can't find drivers on the Big Island. Airgas is a good company.

In general, most companies are looking for drivers. Construction is picking up and last I counted about 15 crane towers just in the Honolulu / Waikiki area. Those trades pay very well so a lot of drivers leave to go into construction.

Aloha Adam, Here are some numbers to call. Main office on Oahu 808 692-0400. Hilo Plant (808) 935-3341. My work cell (808) 658-0228. Calls only. Fill out an application from the above link and get that taken care of first. Most of the time the office people don't even know what is posted on Airgas job sites. Also you are on the east coast and we are on the far far west coast so about 5-6 hrs time difference behind you.

    Rodeorowdy Thanks this.

That is a "glitch" that has been here as long as I've been on the forum. Put an 8 with a close parenthesis sign, ), beside it, and you get "8)"
