Hey, hold it down! You might find someone following you thinking he or she might like your job. Only kidding. By looking at your picture the truck looks like it has Unocal paint. So I would guess you're either dedicated driver or actual a Unocal driver. It's hard to pick up sometimes. In Vegas Texaco had the trucks painted with the exact Texaco scheme but just about all the drivers worked for another company. Either way it's a nice looking truck. I'll bet it's nice to work too.

I make more than that ..I get paid by hour..all straight time though...plus benefits...home at least twice a week..and sleep in a motel when I'm gone.

Pulling gas and diesel takes a special type of person..there are those that think that truck is a rolling time bomb..maybe they should if they don't drive safely..gasoline will not blow up..it will burn ...unless you have vapors at the right combination with the air..but it has to be between the uel and lel..pull it up on the SDS..and it will tell you..its either to rich or to lean...to blow up...even the vapors from the vapor recovery won't blow up again because they aren't in the zone and weren't contained in anything such as your engine cylinder..
I've hauled many different things in my life..hauling petroleum is the easiest thing ..no tarping..no tying down...you don't even leave the ground..you are told right on the rack how much you put in...if you screw up and try to load to much..it will even turn off..unless your scully is screwed up..most loads I have are pumped off..so I stand around for about an hour to an hour and a half waiting to load or unload...I can loiad or unload 24 hours a day...and yes at times you have waiting times at the load racks..but who cares if your hourly..my clock doesn't stop until I leave the office to my car..or to the motel..is it dirty? Sometime..do I have to chain up? Sometimes..sometimes I have to be pulled into my unload areas as the roads might be to steep when slick..you guys have nice looking trucks...but your missing a middle trailer...like I've said I've hauled many things..and have worked for many different companies...but so far I'm very happy with my company and my boss..I can get hold for him 24 hours a day..brand new equipment...and where I run we don't have traffic so I don't need to worry about that..and don't need to find a place at night..except when I need to go out of town..where there isn't any parking problem..what more does a truck driver want?
