They are force dispatch they are paying you for all miles. If they tell you to go to Texas from Michigan to get a load for Florida you go they are paying you by the mile. Some people must realize all company's paint a real good picture to get you to work for them. Wish you well with them they are honest and a pain about safety by this I mean if you forget to dot an i or cross a t you will get all your paper work back. Most leave cause of time off issues not getting home and once home bugging you to get back to work. End dumps do better then pneumatic cause after each load you have to find a tank wash and get washed out plus it take an hour to unload. You will do better and have more home time and pass by the house with the end dump.

Thanks for the input. I'm not sure I'm in the right area for end dumps in New Mexico. Looks like they hire for end dumps in Texas. According to their website, it looks like I fall in the hiring area for pneumatics. I wouldn't mind pulling end dumps although the pay seems to be less but then at the same time installing a wet kit is about 1/3 of the cost of installing a blower.

Terry's have you worked there?not really forced dispatch, just between you and your dispatcher.as far as getting home not one driver I talked to have had a problem, driver don't go off what just one driver says about a company as we have around 600 owner operators,I have found out I make great money with the amount of miles I run,and I don't work hard, home almost every weekend too, stay out when I want,go home when I want,I work out of the Oklahoma office

jpracer1, do you see many loads coming out to NM, AZ, CO, TX and those area's ? What prompts my question about forced dispatch and home time is due to the fact I live in NM and it seems most loads and drivers I read about are running mid west and east. The Oakley website shows they have a terminal in Farmington, NM but interestingly enough, I don't see their trailers running around out here.

And I have never been forced to do a load, most loads are good loading spots,if a person has a problem working here I just don't know what to say about that

Jpracer1, if it's not to personal, could you give me an idea of what kind of miles your running and what kind of net pay you are seeing per month or per year ?

Day 1 of orientation is over. 11 of us in total, 2 were rehires. Weighed our trucks and got them into the shop for lettering and wet kit/blower installation. Did the usual, lots of paperwork, Drug screen and physical, ect. They have a house in the ghetto set up to do the physicals in, it was odd but convenient, we breezed right though and got back to the terminal. We got pizza for lunch, then more paperwork.

Overall they are very welcoming and friendly and want you to feel like you are at home.

We all left our trucks there in the shop and got a ride back to the hotel in their van. The hotel is alright, nothing special, nothing bad about it, just your normal hotel room. At least the hotel is right next to the Pilot and across the street from the Petro if you need anything.

Tomorrow we should be finishing up some paperwork and going over safety/csa/hos/hazmat

Not much to report on really. So far I'm happy I made the decision to come here.

    3 days to go....
