Can any O/O's give me feedback on Bruce Oakley Trucking (bulk pneumatic division) out of AR ? They sound like a decent outfit to lease onto but I'm wondering about pay and how consistent the miles are. I have heard rumors that they want 10K to install a vacuum pump on your truck, is that true ? That may be the deal breaker for me. Any input would be appreciated.

    NightWind Thanks this.

I have run beside them never leased to them. Yes they get 10 g's to put a blower on your truck. Won't tolerate over weight at all. If you are heavy 80 is all they will pay you for. Really though none of us want to run heavy anymore so that isn't a big deal. They are a good bunch to work for. I have heard hoppers and dumps don't make the best money but the pneumatic division does quite well.

I havent pulled a tank in several years hopefully they haven't changed much

Thanks for the info wore out. I guess I need to figure out if the $$$ can justify a 10K blower, that's a chunk of change. Another thing I would like to know is if they are forced dispatch. I have read a few other posts about them that say they are forced dispatch. The blower $$$ and forced dispatch is going to be a hard bullet to bite, without some good proof their pay out weighs those two things.

I can't remember any of the boys saying forced dispatch. I also think that you can have the blower put on at a shop of your choice. I helped a couple of guys that pulled for them put blowers on their truck. Course it's been longer than I thought closer to 5 years now a lot could change in that time

I am currently leasing on to them (end dump) and I'm also interested in hearing more about the company.

Do they still require you to be clean shaven?

Yes! I was told multiple times to be clean shaven when I arrive for orientation. I don't mind it though.
