Trimac is advertising heavily in the bay area..... I was wondering if anyone on here pulls for them in Hayward Ca? (or maybe even just California period (for comparison sake) ........I had several questions regarding benefits (how's the medical, and dental, is it 100% company paid?) Pay structure, are you kept busy year round? is there O.T available to the new guy? (how much) atmosphere? Is there a lot of turnover? (why are they heavily recruiting?) whats the schedule like for a new hire?
Any info on the above ?'s would be greatly appreciated..... the few threads I pulled up on Trimac are a little vague to say the least. looking to make a move to a place I can retire from AND at the same time pull tanks which is what I've wanted to do since I began driving almost 10 years ago.
Seems like the few times I've seen a trimac driver either we're going in oppistite directions: or im on my way to a customer that's about to close!
Trimac Drivers in here please

I'll be in Hayward Sunday afternoon if you feel like talking. Send me a pm.
superpet39 Thanks this. -
I seen the same ad back in Octorber and applied.
They sent an email a week later saying they're not hiring anywhere near my selected location (Bay Area).
I'd like info on them as well. -
Run latex out of Dow. Out loaded, back empty.

Dow loads mainly. The Dow plant is literally a half mile away on a private road. Latex, lots of L.A and Phoenix, easy work. They pay by the hour at that terminal according to the terminal manager. O.T after 40 and all. It's a pretty good gig. They hired a bunch of drivers last time I was there about 2 weeks ago, I doubt they are hiring many more. Trimac can be a company you can retire from. I put a thread on here, I didn't think it was vague, if you want more info about the company. Just be warned now, Trimac is a branch type company and therefore extremely confusing.
For instance, Storm and I are both on the Elite team yet because we are assigned to different branches are trucks are completely different, we have different toll passes, different maintenance schedules etc. It is weird and if I work here 40 years i will never understand how it's better to do business this way.
They are probably the best company I have ever seen in driver utilization. You rarely sit, and when you do its usually a customer problem or a holiday causing it.
Maintenance has been a killer for us lately. Now I do believe that the management is going to address this but you need to be aware, maintenance sucks. Money is great, even when you break down or have to wait you get paid decent but it can be frustrating.
All in all I can't imagine a company that would pay me better than Trimac. There are things I don't like, but my pay, treatment and utilization have always been first rate.kbarttt and superpet39 Thank this. -
I agree with the previous post. I am not on elite team and mostly run regional South East. Each local branch is run like a separate company. Still far better company than most and great pay.
simplmn80 Thanks this.
