Macks definitely have a bigger sleeper than the Prostars, but it doesn't feel that way. In the Prostar I took the center curtain down completely and it made it seem like a lot more room. It would be kind of pointless in the Mack because the roof in the cab is so low. Peterbilts are the best of the 3. Not having that shifter in the floor would be nice.

Can you guys give me an idea of what the 401k match is for both companies? Profit sharing? I'm getting closer to my classes and really want to get a plan set lol.

Superior matches 3% to a maximum of $900 a year. Profit sharing is split equally amongst all employees from the president down an goes in the 401k and is vested over a period of 6 years.

Superior will give you a shot right now out of school as long as it is one of their approved schools...if you have a clean MVR, good work history and your Hazmat I would say give them a shot. Where are you located?

Oh ok..I'm in PA so the contact I have wouldn't help you much lol. I'd say give them a shot....they are more than likely going to be who I call after I get done with school. David and wsyrob on this thread are currently with them...they can probably help you with any other questions you may have about them.

Maybe they will reply when they have time. I just don't know if my school is one of their approved schools. But my situation is little different than most. I went to Roadmaster for a 160 hours full course 5 years ago, drove for Usxpress for few months, came back worked in the factory for five years then got laid off. My cdl was still valid when i contact sni but they still want me to take a 40 hours refresher course before hiring me. So i went to houston community college for that 40 hours and here i am with sni about 3 months now. I just want to go to a better pay company but don't know if superior would consider either trucking school i went to.

Yup, call them. The fact that you've been working for Schneider bulk may help. The worst they can tell you is no.
