I live in Nashville Tennessee. Was wondering if anyone knew how much dump truck and concrete truck drivers pay around here?

Well I certainly can't be any help to you since I don't live in Tennessee. I can tell you though from experience how the pay works here in NC. Dump drivers in this area get paid two ways, hourly and percentage, usually 25% of what the truck earns total for the day. The hourly scale usually starts around 9 bucks and the highest I've heard of it going has been around 13 bucks. If I were gonna drive for an individual then I'd ask for the percentage unless they were gonna pay me travel time and pay me on rain days and stuff.
If I were gonna pay someone to drive my truck for me to be out, I'd pay them 25% and if they didn't make at least $100 bucks, I'd guarantee them at least that much for the day. Also, what you'd make would depend on what you were hauling paid also. Where I'm at right now (ST Wooten) their plant material pays a whopping $3.50 a ton but it's a short turn around. Their hourly rate for a quint axle dump is now $75 an hour, I hope that doesn't break them or cause them to have to file bankruptcy. I don't know about the other parts of the country but here, the rates haven't increased much if any at all in the last 20 years. -
I got offered 15.25 starting out with an increase after 90 and 180 days then yearly after that til topout at 21. That's good enough for me. I'm home every night too.
Juancho Thanks this. -

What size dump truck? Straight truck or trailer ?
I am at $19hr for pulling a 24' dump trailer and our straight truck guys are between $14-$16hr.
I would think $15.25hr to start for a straight truck is pretty good if they offer some bennies also then that's even better.Juancho Thanks this.
