Hey big daddy I just finished school with you, funny now I see you on here. Its Chris from 251. I was wondering what tanker company are you talking about and where is it? I would like to apply there, as you know there is no work currently through the union.

Chris check out superior carriers in springfield,ma. They wanted me to goto NETTS but I believe we got better training.We seem to be passing the CDL test and they struggle. I've talked to some good guys who graduated from NETTS and are now with Superior Carriers. Best of Luck, I'm going out on the road next week and should graduate ontime mid Feb but might get to go earlier.

Thanks for the info, Springfield is like a 2 hour ride though. I thought you knew some local tanker company. Good luck with your test.

For local go into Ep,barrington area and go towards the tanks. I was told by a Mobile driver to fillout an application once I get my license. They would give me a chance because I'm new and have no bad habits, yet.Check them out and let me know how you make out. Rob 251

Thanks a lot rob, but what do you mean by Ep? Barrington is close so thats great, but what company is Ep? Go Patriots Im leaving for the game now.

NO SCHOOL TODAY MLK DAY. SO I went out on the road with my brother inlaw to long island for his monday stops. Left after Pats game.Go Pats AFC RULES. I finally got real WHITE CASTLE .
Didn't get to drive but got to see the real world. Slept on the side of the highway in the truck rest area(no restroom,food etc. just space). Thats the real life of being on the road,some days your at the flying J,TA,Petro some your on the side of the road or rest stop. I wouldnt trade the experience I was able to ask my questions,answer questions and let him know I've been doing my work,homework. Back to school tomorrow,I should go to the park the on the road.I need to get road time,real practice at rail road tracks and with breakdown. I will do a pretrip if I dont have to step aside for those going to the test this week.If so I'll go pretrip a trailer and review the airbrakes test.

ROFLMAO, Latanea,Hows it going? I have a few weeks left. I went back to the park with the new instructor. First time around not so good,Shifted too early. Second time around Right On The Money. I need to remember to let the RPM's get to 2000 then Shift. Hopefully I'll get out of the park and onto the road. Its tough finding union work in Rhode Island. I hope it picks up.

I am fine... had a good week so far...


as far as shifting - you will learn to not look at your tach - and learn to "listen" to the motor...

you will find the sweet spot and not even realize it when you shift.

hang in there - I will keep my ears open on jobs in your area...
