alvan air / motor freight will cease ops effective immediatly.

(another trucking company gone due to fuel cost / insurance cost compounded by the fact that they played the "do it for less" game)

CF / Jevic / Red Star / Westway / etc etc etc

the list keeps growing

CF filed for liquidation bankruptcy in 2002. Con-Way was split off prior to that and is still in operation if I recall.

They were Teamsters but had a separate contract but still worked under the National Master contract.

when they underbid our GE contracts they sure did...


as well as take the Wright Pat outbound away from ABF in Dayton...

many MANY times alvan stepped on toes as if they were ran like a dog eat dog operation. - A respectable freight company should recognize others territory and service. (in my opinion). (buddy)
