I may be wrong(cause I usually am) but I don't see it getting better for these people just starting out.I mean ,there's always going to be the sons and daughters who've grown up in this biz and know how to play the game right who are gonna make some good money...But IMO,If you start out with Swift or one of those outfits you'll always be beat down because of the brainwashing that goes on.Heck, just read some of the posts and the stupid arguments we get drawn into because of ignorance on their part.I'm at the point of just keeping my mouth shut and saying "Ok buddy, whatever you think is fine by me" to some of the worst of the lot.The sad thing is,they think we are the dumb ones and their "trainer" is the brainchild.

Muleskinner, I have only seen two types of people happy when it comes to any union.
1. The fat cats puffin' on their cigars making laughter at the expense of their underlings.
2. Lazy people
Just my two cents.
Yes, the trucking company is badly in need of an overhaul but the union is not the way to go.
We all know everything put on this forum, as well as many others, is NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. It amazes me to see drivers starting out at the same, OR LESS, (cpm) as drivers from 10-12 years ago!

1) I agree with you....Unions have a LOT of dead weight in the top end.
2) Yep...unions do have a few lazy folks featherbedded into them...But,I've worked union and non-union and there are lazy people everywhere.Unions don't have a monopoly on them.Wages and working conditions are usually at least 50% better,if not more,on union jobs I've worked and that inspires some to work harder to not lose their jobs and it inspires some just to lay back and collect a check too because of the protection that a "strong" union gives it's members.Works both ways.

I never said union was the way to go.....I don't have the answer on how to fix it or I wouldn't be posting on here if I did....I'd be a multi millionaire flying around and having my secretary posting on here for me.
