| In agreement with cutloose Unfortunately cutloose, U hit the nail right on the head.If u work in a right 2 work state u have 2 put up with alot of this shaddy stuff that is going on.Like Texas,Nevada is also a RIGHT TO WORK STATE which means (4 all of u that don't know) is when your place you're employed with can FIRE u for ANY REASON that THEY see fit WITHOUT explanation or reason why they fired u and at the same time u as an employee have the right 2 QUIT/RESIGN from a job without any notice and/or reason.Sounds like a pretty fair trade don't u think????? LOL LOL LOL what a crock of U KNOW WHAT!!!!!! It is unbeleiveable how these companies can get away with all this maddness. But THAT is EXACTLY what a right 2 work state is.I really hate it!!! I've hated from day 1 of the beverage company I was previously employed with.Like I have mentioned over and over again NEVADA IS A RIGHT TO WORK STATE!! The UNIONS have ABSOLUTELY NO SPINE in this state. And being a right 2 work state just ADDS FUEL 2 THE FIRE!!!That is another reason why unions r so freekin weak out here!!!CASINOS+BIG FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES+CORRUPT GOVERNMENT+WEEK UNIONS=RIGHT 2 WORK STATE=A BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG SCREW UUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!AND GET AWAY WITH IT AND NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBODY IS GOING 2 STOP THEM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! |

| Why wouldn't a company have the right to fire for any reason they see fit? It's their company, not yours. You work there, you get paid, other than that, they owe you nothing. Why do people think they have the right to a privately owned and run company? If I own the company, I do as I please. You can always find a door if you don't like it. Obviously most employers want to treat their employees well, it only makes economic sense. But to say a worker is owed a job by his employer is beyond naive. |

| unions and the reason why they suck in this state U R right once again cutloose!!!!!! Vegas was actually started from the Midwest Chicago Kansas City but there was east coast influence as well.New York City,Philly etc. etc. BUT HOWEVER the unions here haven't been any good since the MISTERIOUS DISAPPEARENCE OF JIMMY HAFFA!!!heck even his OWN SON Jimmey Haffa Jr. had NO INFLUENCE WHATSOEVER!!!!! I geuss he must of got threatened by the mob 2 do poorly and so as a result the unions r weak!!!!! at least in Nevada. What is ironic though when the mob was open about their dealings in Vegas the Unions were the BEST!! Good insurance WONDERFUL PENSION if u were unioin especially TEAMSTERS AND CULINARY U had it made in Vegas!!!!!!!!BUT nowadays the unions r a joke.I made the BIG mistake to join the union not once but TWICE!!! I was so stupid I just got sucked in by all of their BS.I should've known better.Oh well I know the business now about unions. Now don't get me wrong I'm not ANTI-UNION but I am ANTI-UNION HERE IN NAVADA because I know how they operate!!! don't want no part of em!!!!!!!! |

| Yes there are laws that bar discrimination in the workplace. That is not the argument people are presenting here. The argument here sure sounds like folks think they have an implied right to a job. Well, hate break it to you, but you don't. |

Ronno, it pains me to say that you are way, way out in the weeds on this subject. Apparently you don't have much experience with and don't know much about unions... rx |

But over all the tradesmen/women have alot of yrs and experience and education. Ive met some of the best thru out the country.. Over all they are pd well to do a job, which helps in attitude, quality and safety. At present OTR drivers need to be thankful for unions, there a big supporter to keeping American drivers. There a piece of the back bone against the mexican drivers. but we know your pro mexican driver, which means you must have a financial gain.. Some times monies aint everything, theirs integrity, ethnics and American Pride! If i got offered today as a company driver to fill in for union drivers striking, $23.50 an hr. VS a $15.00 hr local job, i wouldnt do it, i would have the integrity to say, im screwing someone.. and also know once the strike is over, i wouldnt have a job. |
