Highballin, I have the utmost respect for those out there trying to make their own way, and be their own man. However, if by "nice trucks" you mean high quality durable rigs, I'm with you. However, for you or anyone else, who thinks that chrome enhances a truck....I suggest you don your brown plaid polyester suit, and get someone to snap a picture of you and your "cherry rig", and post it here, so we can see your "classy" ride and its stylish driver.

Hmmm, my spring ride day cab never hurt my back, and I run nothing but the Northeast.

I have a chrome front bumper, and a chrome stack. Although I did cut the stack way down to be level with my light bar.

I figure I would look pretty stupid if I couldn't get in someplace because I had giant 8" stacks sticking 12' in the air.

I always figure those giant stacks are overcompensation for some "shortcoming"

This hooker I know told me, "The bigger the stacks, the smaller the,,,,,,,,,,"

First of all, no "big suit" will tell the membership to go on strike. It is the membership that votes for a strike. In my opinion, a strike is a last resort measure. One that most of us never want to see. The company I work for has been in business over 50 years. Not once has there been a strike. No company wants a Union in there place of business. I get that. However, if all companies paid their drivers properly, provided exellent benefits and retirement, there would never be a need for a Union. Unfortunately, that is not the case with the majority of companies. Just read the thousands of posts on here provided by your peers.

Then say the union made this company.Never seen a union make any company money.

I have never seen a Union make any company money. That is not their job. Their job is to protect workers rights. That being said, I have seen Union drivers making the company money. That is the way it is supposed to be! It makes perfect sence to me.

I have also seen companies that make their money off drivers thru lies, low pay, expensive benefits, terrible retirement and lack of hometime. Again, just read the posts on this site.

Some of us O/O and Company Drivers like what we are doing and like the freedom

You act like only non Union drivers like what they are doing. I, for one, enjoy driving and performing my job. I think most Union drivers feel the same way.

I am curious about your "freedom" comment. It looks like you are an O/O. Can you please explain what you mean by freedom? Does it apply to company drivers where you work as well?

We drive nice trucks which lets us enjoy our day off instead of going to the doctor because our back is hurting from those cheap trucks we go fishing
I am happy that you drive a nice truck. Again, if you are an O/O, it's yours and you should expect nothing less. My truck is pretty basic. As long as it is mechanically sound, the power steering, A/C and satellite radio work, I have nothing to complain about.

I noticed you said "day off"? Is that every week? Don't you get more than one day off?

As for back pain, that is the major reason that employees miss work. Just out of curiosity, what does it cost you for a doctors visit?

Fishing. Hey, we agree on something.

Drive safe

I have noticed the day cabs are getting nicer. For some companys that is.Its hard to believe you have nothing to complain about.I thought all of us did that just for the fun of it.

Nahhhhh, she is mental as all hell. Very good friend, but all messed up.

At least she doesn't work truck stops. Nasty nasty life though. Found her half dead a few times. Pick her up and take her to the hospital, and then to the rehab, or the "crazy house".

Funny thing is when she isn't hooking, you would never figure her for a hooker. She looks like a regular housewife.

As my mother said "But she doesn't look like a hooker". That one had us rolling.

What a life, my oldest female friend is a prostitute. And my girlfriend is the clinical director of "the crazy house". I'm starting to think everyone is nuts.
