Well I guess Wal-Mart showed them who owned the store didnt they.Thats the risk people take.Because some Big Company can just shut down and that means no pay check or did their union pay unemployment get them a job??Wal-Mart should use less people doing nothing an pay more and have bennies for sure But as you see they would rather shut a store down than do that.

Here is the thing..Unions do not help anyone but them selfs..

I find them to be greedy and drive the market up along with the price of goods..

Just look at the US auto makers and there unions is a prime example of why people are buying foreign cars and non-union made cars

Unions help force companies to keep unwanted and unproductive workers.

I am curious, knighton5, have you ever worked a Union job? I don't feel like digging through all of your 400-some posts to find out...
Ive never worked for a union, so I only have one side of the story. If my company went union I would probably be happy, I would make more and have better benefits. But thats not the case, so I will defend the otherside.. Overall, I dont agree with the unions squeezing more money out of a company which forces them to shut there doors or move out of the country. They force people to shop at cheaper stores. I'm a hard worker, I dont need a union to protect me, I can climb the ladder with my dependability and know how, I pass the lazy people or unproductive workers. If I was union I would be stuck in a senoirity list for years. This is just a couple examples. With that said, I will support ALL OTR companies to be union though. Until then, I'm happy.

Union membership is down as a percentage of all workers and most union jobs are in the government. Workers wages are also down compared to todays costs. Coincidence?
