Although it would be rather impractical to have AC units in UPS's residential delivery units. I would imagine.
Bet that wont apply to our units in northern Alberta! Oh well, for the 5 days a year that AC would be nice... guess its not really worth it!

Collective Bargaining

God Bless Jimmy Hoffa Sr. He had the forsight to see what the companies wanted to do do to labor in the trucking industry. Trucking is an industry, all industries need Collective Bargaining to be lucrative. Example Postal Service, Law Enforcement, Teaching, Machinery, Engineers (heavy equipment) manufacturing, just to name a few industries. Transportation needs an enema, a big one. Collective Bargaining. Let's get it done before it's too late. The industry is going backwards, we'll pay in low wages and no benefits. It would behoove us to wake up!!!

God Bless you, and Jimmy Hoffa Sr. All LTL freight companies should have collective bargaining. Help get to those ears that won't listen.

unions even lift up non union wages

States with large union representation have always had higher wages than 'right to work" states. Unions are all the workers have. The money boys have their unions and job protection scheme. National Association of Manufacturers, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, AMA to keep medical prices higher, U.S. trade representative to help companies utilize cheap and even slave foreign wage earners to compete with American workers. Look at the Mexican trucker issue. I don't think it's dead. Just on simmer. Strong unions really representing their workers (most don't anymore) could carry a lot of clout. Imagine what unions like the IBEW, Teamsters , and railroad workers could have done to the country to teach ronald reagan a lesson when he fired the air traffic controllers. Yet the majority of working stiffs applauded him, saying "that's what we need, a strong president who's bought and paid for by the banks and corporations."

Look at how the Police unions became so powerful. Politicians are afraid of them because then a campaign would start such as "don't vote for so and so, he's soft on crime." Which is why a cop in California can retire at 90% wages with medical benefits after 30 years. I'll bet the politicians wouldn't try to import foreigners to do police work at a lower wage like they do to other jobs.

IMO anyway.
