Well I could be wrong but I don't think they will use a train'e for a driver ???? They might hire you for the dock allright but I pretty sure being a union outfit and with all those benniffits that they would want seasoned drivers out in public with their trucks ???? If you want to drive for them I would imagine they would require not only a really good driveing record but a few years of experience as well ??

lionman,

Although I am not sure, I tend to agree with you. It is difficult to get a Union driving job staight out of school. BigDaddyJollyRob attended a Union school. I don't know if we was successful yet. I'll tell you though, I would hire him in a minute just for his tenacity of wanting a better life. I did get lucky and found a company years ago that was Union and gave me my license. I have been grateful ever since.

Drive safe

don't know - did not go to one...

and there are none around here.

I would assume they are thorough - but have no experience with them.

- as far as its relevance to this thread - when I say we are hiring - I mean we need guys that already have their CDL's - (from a school) - no experience needed - but you must have a cdl / hm / dt

I hired onto a Teamster company working on the dock, and got my CDL through them on my days off. It was the best thing I ever did.
Our company hires new drivers too.
