Good Day today. Very wet. I took a few turns then did air breaks with others and right hand turn. Went on the road and was brought to an area to see if I could straight back without cones. Did great made instructor happy and It gave me a chance to straight line that truck before the test. Bringing the Mrs. to the airport in the am going to visit her best friend in Alabama(birthday present). I'll let everyone know how I did tomorrow. Thanks

PASSED MY ROAD TEST! Did great with maneuvers, had some grinding on road test and answered all questions:biggrin_2551 5:
Time to find employment. I'll start looking for more local work, if not I'm off to Millis on the 3rd.

I got a lead from the union hall Training Director so I called his contact, then went and filled out the application. While on the way I decided to call my oil company to see if they were hiring. They said no but another company is right now. I went, filled out the application. Talked to the office manager Rose, then met the owner and GOT THE JOB! They asked me if I wanted to work this weekend to see if I like oil tanker and could train with his nephew. I said yes.
Its a seasonal job, full time until the summer then 3 days on plus able to collect. I come from lawn care/landscaping side and can go work in the busy season for my old boss.

I was happy to get the call from the director and the union lead. Then got another surprise with the oil company and offered the job. I know a grad from a few classes ahead who went with a oil company and was offered mid $ 20's
to start.said they're slow know but pick up as summer comes because the deliver diesel to construction companies and fuel to the airport. Keeping my eye on the prize. Thanks everyone for all your support. Thanks to all my union brothers & sisters and fellow trucking friends. You all have been very supportive. Thanks "work smarter not harder" El OSO
