you really are out of touch with how unions operate... so many times I have posted that the F-ups last a few weeks after being hired... you HAVE to pull your own weight (period) now regarding union wages hurting a company - I have also posted about an interview with the CEO of toyota (that was broadcast last summer on 60 minutes). in that interview the question was posed "why do american automakers have such a hard time unions?" his reply was simple - he said that in mopst countrys union labor was the norm - but the point people miss is that at GM for example there are over 430 employess that make more than he does (he is CEO) - american autmakers are notorious for being top heavy and having 50 vice presidents with 3 million a year pensions and stupid pay while on duty... (as always - 2 sides to every story)

| I can't speak for any other Union but the Operating Engineers local 150 out of Chicago and there were MANY lazy arses when i was part of them. I was always getting hammered by the BA's for doing TO MUCH and making the rest look bad!! PISSED ME RIGHT OFF!! If a bucket pin was squealing on my excavator i would get out and grease it instead of waiting upwards of an hour for an oiler to come out to do it or just keep running it like most and ruining a pin. That's a NO NO according to the BA as it wasn't my job. F^($ HIM! It's my machine assigned to me and if it's broke i'm not working! I would also get out of the excavator and help the laborers hand much around gas mains Etc. and would get spanked for that for the same reason. Screw em all!

We can do it right here at home from our front porches and in the streets of our own nation. Fight for Liberty will not be a slogan of a noble idea but a reality of daily life. Socialism and total Government control are not knocking at the door anymore, they have walked in, invited by the huddled masses who are determined to "vote"themselves the things they want. |

| My favorite Union experience, was SF postal service. One guy to open the door and pull the dock plate. One guy to drive the forklift and unload, another guy to count the bins...done. Guy #1 returns, pulls the dock plate. Then ANOTHER guy signs the bills. 4 F##### people to off load one trailer !! Quote:

| If you want a perfect demonstration of unions at work, watch a city crew fixing potholes in the street. Normally 5 guys leaning on shovels or sitting in the truck while one does the work. |
