When I worked warehousing (non union) we would finish loading or unloading the truck in the dock if the driver is waiting. If I worked 5 or 10 minutes into my lunch then I would just extend my lunch 5 or 10 minutes.. Never would we make a trucker sit and wait 30 minutes if all he had was one or two pallets left. Thats why truckers hate union warehouses.

Ive been allowed to drive illegal (not with Crete) but never forced to, but ive thought back in my working history and I just dont see where I would have needed or felt like I needed a Union. I'm not saying I wouldnt want there pay or bennies, I just dont believe in alot of there ways of doing things.

When I was delivering Booze lots of the grocery store receiving clerks would just walk away when it was break time right in the middle of checking the order in, and make me wait for there break to be over,.....the were all NON-UNION stores...of course I did not mind I was getting paid by the hour and of course I was UNION....

I just came back home from grocery shopping at wal mart...

(supercenter in sharonville / evendale ohio area)

I needed some diced 'maters in the larger can - but the only ones available were still in the "box"

I did not have my pocket knife on me - but a guy was working the endcap on the aisle and he had a razor knife...

I asked him if he could slice this box for me - and he said..

"It is not my area"

wow Knighton - how do you explain that one?

when I wa in the checkout lane - there were 4 people ahead of me -

3 or 4 wal mart girls standing around by the register - all chatting..

I asked them if they could open up another lane (the carts in front of me were PACKED)...

and the one girl told me - "not until 7am - we are on our break"

wow Knighton - how do you explain that one?

How do you explain buying groceries at WalMart instead of a union store like Kroger ?
