Interstate Brands Agreement Reached

Teamsters Overwhelmingly Approve Agreement With IBC

Modifications Pave Way for Company to Exit Bankruptcy

November 13, 2008
(Washington, D.C.) –Teamster members from across the country voted to accept modifications of their agreements with Interstate Brands Corporation (IBC) by an overwhelming majority yesterday. The modification agreement, covering more than 9,000 workers, was the culmination of months of work by the union negotiating team to find an appropriate financial partner for IBC that was committed to bringing the Company out of bankruptcy and preserving good jobs.

Yeah and it was a crock of #### too! They made so many concessions in order to get this contract that the compensation will be nothing like before. I worked in the Pomona, Ca bakery for 8 years when they closed the doors Oct. 2007.

The drivers that are still there are not too happy with what they are getting but like they say at least they still have a job.
