There should be severe penalties for violators. We'll just have to agree to disagree on the extra hour.

It is a political thing, not a safety thing. If a Democrat Administration had put this forth the teamsters would be all for it! Since it came out of the Bush Administration though, it is all wrong, dangerous, sacrilegious, ugly, and just plain bad!

I would hesitate to make that claim about the political parties.

The teamsters are probably not liking the extra hour that is required of work.

How about revoking CDL if caught driving illegal 2 times in any 6 month period?

Here is data indicating allowing driving the 11th hour is not dangerous . [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.
Now a challenge to any Teamster to back up their claim saying it is dangerous .
