so now we need a crystal ball to forecast what any candidate may or may not do to offend any individual or group on a single issue..
Crystal Ball? All I needed was the word Columbia, but being ignorant to the issues your money votes for is certainly no defense. If it quacks like a duck, it is probably a duck. No crystal ball needed on this one. Just some common sense. The Unions will see the fruits of their labor and it will be far more expensive then the dues paid. That you don't need a crystal ball for either.

Hmmm.... Yes. If I am pro choice and yet I vote for a no choice platform because certain parts benefit me. I can not then later absolve myself from culpability if choice is denied.

My friend I think maybe you need to cut back on listening to Rush just a wee bit.

I have already said I do not listen to talk radio because it makes me sleepy and prefer music. And I can also assure you that I hold no party affiliation since I am a registered Independent. But this surely is a typical canned msg response one gets when nothing else cognisant can be used to refute the facts. So I will except your capitulation.

Like I said b4...as a vet, I am equally outraged.
Well you should be IMO. But there is a saying, you get what you pay for. And the Unions payed for this one to the tune of 85m.

Columbia??...I don`t get it?? Ignorant to issues...not by a long shot...was this an issue doing the campaign? I thought it a came up in Febuary as a proposal....not b4 the election...when platforms were announced.

See response above

What facts?? A proposal that was introduced in Febuary should have been recognized back in November or before....Like I said "Crystal Ball"...I too hold no party affiliation, but I don`t spout off blaming an individual or group that may have voted or backed a candidate for a proposal introduced 4 months after an election. My apologies for labeling you a Rush follower, but like you said "If it quacks like a duck" which led me to believe such. Sorry, no capitulation here...

I stand up for the company. Its not the best, but in my opinion, it is one of the better companies to work for.

You could disagree, but then again...I don't care what you think. :P

Well just for the fun of it...since nobody has called me a liar today.

I work five days as well. Only I work less hours...50.

I make less. So there. Neener Neener. However in about 3 -4 more years...Id be making pretty much right about the same as you, per hour.
I don't get paid overtime...because I get paid to get the job done. I don't work any harder after 8 hours, nor should I expect to get paid anymore.

I get a van trailer, which by the time it gets to me...has about 20 feet of freight on it. 10 of that is mine. And yeah...don't ask what I haul.

1 week vacation paid at regular salary pay. 2 weeks after 2 years.

6 paid holidays. We just have less holidays off.
3 days paid funeral leave.
Sick days - not sure...I don't get sick. Im basically in a position where...I can't call in sick. nobody to fill in for lil ol me.

20k of life insurance and vision free. Visions not totally free as you have to pay for the goodies and all, but I saved a ton in January...cheapest pair I've ever had to buy.
They offer HSA coverage, but I don't know the stats on it.

50% match on up to 4% income. 100% match on 5-6% up to their limit.

The way my freight is distributed, I get it on Saturday, so I have Sun and Monday off. Not a big deal to me. I have a sleeper just in case of bad weather, otherwise I would be hooked up with a hotel room. Breaks - I can take as many breaks as I want...as long as I deliver on time. However, my goal is to get back home asap...so I don't take breaks.

Uniforms not required. However we get gift cards for the company store during spring training so I can buy a couple shirts if I really wanted to.
Free boots no matter the cost, yearly.

Plus oodles of other benefits that are free or a slight charge.
While you didn't respond all of my questions, you did well. It was better than I expected. No answer as to what your monthly salary is but I get that.

Can you describe some of the oodles of other benefits that you receive? Thanks.

By the way, no one expects you to brag about your job. However, there are a lot of drivers on here looking for a good company. If you feel that Schneider is a good company, tell others about it and explain why. Realize that you need to give specific data. The intent of this site is to steer new drivers to good companies and help them avoid the bad ones. At least that is what I get from this site.

Well I thought I replied to everything. Ok other bennies that they provide. Not sure if they are regarded as benefits or simply services...etc.

*They have their own medical plans
*Dental with free preventive care
*Employee Assitance program - short term counseling
*dependant care spending accounts
*HSA / FSA plans, different from the medical plans.
*free Life and AD&D coverage, plus additional life insurance available.
*Travel Accident Insurance
*home and Auto Insurance
*401k with 11 investment funds available.
*free short term disabliity income replacement
*Financial counseling from AXA Advisors
*SNI credit union with free checking, online bill pay and discounted loans.
*Discounts for mortgages through WF
*Legal plans
*adoption benefits
*discounts on real estate commissions
*education finance program
*discounts on cars, appliances
*...etc.

Like I said...might not be considered benefits...but they are things that are available to you free of charge or for a small fee.

That must explain why the DMV among other places are so efficient.
