| Re: A tree or no tree???? IDEAS wanted I'm with Cybergal on this one. I have a little 3' tree with lights -- put some ribbon on it and a few ornaments and you'd be surprised how much it brightens up the place. Except when roommate's here, it's just me and the dog, but my dad loved Christmas and I couldn't even imagine not having a tree of some sort at Christmas -- just doesn't seem right. He used to make lighted wreaths and little topiaries to give as gifts and would start in the summer. I remember him down in the basement in August, Christmas music playing and him making his wreaths. He'd always ask my opinion of what he should put where. Those are some great memories and everytime I see a Christmas tree, I think of him and all those great times we had making Christmas wreaths. |

| Re: A tree or no tree???? IDEAS wanted Our neighbors across the street are real big into the Christmas scene. They're the ones that put lights all over the roof, the manger scene in the yard, the plastic Santa and reindeer. We keep it low key, a tree in the house, a manger scene on the mantle. Why don't you just get a few small things? Put a wreath on the door (or the grille of your Peterbilt) set a few candles in the windowsill. Keep it festive, but not over the top gawdy. Hope the Harrison's read this. Julie
