First signs of spring where you live?

I saw two robins yesterday, and the snow crocus is up and my lilac bushes have huge buds on them.

The First signs of spring are MUD and lot's of it! LOL...........

Everything looks kind of nasty right now...I have a weird grass in my front yard that turns completely yellow...will not green up till MAY. It's a real plush grass to the bare foot and feels real nice to walk in....kind of springy.

Never did know what kind of GRASS that was.

Bermuda Grass

Bermuda Grass turns brown in cool weather. Here in West Michigan, we started a few plugs of Bermuda Grass where the soil was poor. During the summer, we have mow it frequently because it will almost stall the mower.

Our magnolia tree blossomed very nicely this year. Then, we had a heavy, wet snow in April. My wife brought out the snow shovel, again. A pair of mallards nests on the creek bank every year. They arrived during the freak April snow storm. Poor trip planning, I quess. The groundhog had been exploring, but went back to finish hibernating during the storm. I think we are in the clear now. The groundhog sleeps in the sun on warm days. A relative living in Grand Rapids gets a robins' nest in a wreath on her front porch every year. She has already sent photos of the blue eggs.
