I drive for Millis and never have had a problem getting home.

Mark

Millis' Home Time Policy shall read that a driver who accumulates 7 days out without a 36 hr at home period will receive a minimum of 36 hours of uninterrupted home time. A driver who accumulates 14 days out without a 36 hr home period will receive a minimum of 72 hrs of uninterrupted home time. A driver who accumulates 21 days or more out without a 36 hr home period will receive a minimum of 108 hrs or 4 ½ days of uninterrupted home time. Home time accumulations are not allowed to be added to paid vacation times.

A driver request for home time will be processed as follows:
Upon dispatch of any load after completion of a home time period, the driver will be allowed to request a home time into the future, not to be less than 7 days from the date of the home time request. Your dispatch manager is at that time obligated to return the driver to his/her home location for a period of not less than 36 hrs. to fulfill the home time request.
Any driver who fails to be allowed the mandated home time earned will be paid at the rate of an additional $.05 per mile for all miles accumulated for days past the home time deadline date.

My boyfriend was always home on the weekend in the beginning. Then for the past month or so, he's said he had to work and couldn't be home until Saturday night and head back out on Sunday morning.

Silly me...I was understanding and felt bad for him. As it turns out, he wasn't working at all. He was in a bar those Friday nights with someone else. I'm wondering if he told her he had to work Saturdays when he was with me.

I told myself along time ago when I became a Truckers wife that when the wheels don't turn, you ain't making any money.

Hubby and I have gotten used to the fact that he is gone every other weekend and we endure and deal with it.

He could never do anything different in life and I accept that.

We both love the Trucking industry and have made it our lives.

We just don't like alot of the bull#### that comes with the territory.

I know what your saying. every company promises hometime. I notice where you live. we are in the middle of nowhere also. this does make it harder to get loads this way. them city fellers don't seem to have much trouble. We get home late fri. night or early sat. morning and leave out sun for monday drop(oops can't do that got to take our 34). we do insist on two days at christmas. You know in a row, together and we don't spend it cleaning the truck. Not really sure what we do with that much time what do ya'll do?
