 Truckers Slang After the kids had grown and gone, I crawled up into the cab of my husbands Kenworth and road with him across the country for four years. I got the education of a lifetime as I laughed and cried at some of the things I heard on the CB radio. “Break one nine, northbound. There’s an alligator on the zipper at the 129.” I was confused. I was raised in Jacksonville, Fl and as children we would tease baby alligators to the bank with miniature marshmallows and play with them until their momma showed up. I asked my husband, “What’s an alligator doing up here in North Carolina in the dead of winter?” He told me the truck driver on the CB radio was talking about a piece of rubber off of a recapped tire and that the "zipper" was the white striped line running down the middle of the road. | welcome to the froum . i am jen yes i have not been with hubby yet but i have been on phone when i heard him talk or heard other on the cb and they some crazy saying lol hope you enjoy it here

| I have seen a gator stand straight up after it was thrown from a trailer...I smacked all 90 pounds of it...never hang in back of a big truck....gator can come in thru ur windshield. |
