I think by our birthright as nurturing souls we are on constant watch to make sure our children, spouses, family and friends always have what is needed first and foremost. Even to the extent of putting ourselves on the back burner and making sacrifices to balance it all. I’m a giver so to do so makes me feel good to put them first but it can be a double-edged sword also. The real trick in that bag of treats is in knowing when to back off and let them establish their own boundaries and in knowing when we have to surrender and just sit tight and watch. Not and easy task I can assure you. It’s not that we want to be control freaks or anything, it’s just instinct as you say. Women are hard wired different than men and that’s just the way it is. Past Experience is also a major factor. Depending on the past experience it can leave one jaded & cautious or warm & welcoming. Past experience also dictates how we perceive ourselves and self worth. I’m in no way demeaning a mans feelings but I think due to our nurturing ways women need just a little more feedback in letting us know we are doing right by those we love. Sheesh I’m long winded tonight……must be that worry thing creepin in….lol.
