Angry Stupid Cell phone

I live in the country. So alot of the time my cell phone loses reception or the signal fades. Now when I am in the city - No Problem !
My Husband makes a habit of calling me 1-2 x during the day and then always at night # 11 or so. The day time calls are always short and to the point : were here and going there, gotta go, call you later. During the past week of dropped calls or "breaking up" we just substitue for text messaging when needed.

Well yesterday he called me on the cell. I was at my parents house. Within the first 20 seconds, there was nothing and the call dropped. I went to grab their home phone to call him back - and he called me again immediately after. I picked up trying to tell him that I was grabbing the other phone to call him back. The call was breaking up and it got dropped again. I grabbed the home phone and call his # back - and it is busy because he is trying to call me back. My cell rings again and I sent it to voice mail so he would be open to take my call when I dialed him.
Do You see where this is going ? This went on for at least 2 minutes.

So I called his cell back on the good home phone. As soon as he picked up - it was all down hill. It was not pleasant in any way. He was aggrivated and I was already aggrivated. Blame was being place over cell reception (dumb I know. I don't think anyone could control this) and Man, I was cussed at and cussed out and then it was on. I explained that I was trying to get to the home phone to call him back because it was not worth trying to talk on the cell phone. Nothing mattered. Everything was heated. I think with all of my stress and anxiety I let go on him. And I mentioned just to stick to the night calls where he can call home on our home phone and have no problems. But nothing mattered. He was irate. I had wasted his phone time to talk by playing this Bull*crap. And he hung up on me.

At first I was in shock. Of course being a woman with emotion I called him right back. And it went to his voice mail - meaning he turned his phone off. I became un-nerved and crazy at that point. More like Livid. I was Livid. I had so many emotions rush through me. Pain was the main one. After all of this and everything I am trying to do here - this happens ? I started to see black spots and my face felt really hot.
Out of anger, I chucked my cell phone down on the concrete and then delivered 5 fatal stomps.

Okay I know now that killing my cell phone was not smart. I have never let my anger turn into rage like that. I still have one year left on the stupid contract and the family plan. Which is why I haven't switched providers.

In my mind I would much rather him call at night like he has been doing. On our home phone. With No problems. No in between cell calls that cause evil problems.

I am not proud for acting out. And now I see that killing my cell solved nothing. And now it will cost me money I don't have just to replace it.

I have not slept all night. And he has not called me back. The last time I talked to him was at 7:30pm yesterday. So I know he is really pissed to turn his phone off.

Oh well. I guess. He will call (home) when he's ready. I am just angry and sad.

But the day must go on. I won't let it swallow me. Not today.

Thanks for listening.

sorry to be in the ladies room but I was looking at new posts and saw this one. I have always wanted to do that with my phone. I am so tempted to throw it out the window of the car so many times. I have to calm down and say thats the way it is sometimes. It will get better for you. Just keep on talking with him. Don't stop talking

I still can't believe I did that. But the only thing I regret is trying to replace it now that $$ is a factor. I really screwed myself over.
However I don't miss it - at all ! Infact I hated the stupid thing.

And I will keep talking. I can't let one bad conversation own us. Thank You for reading this. Your words are appreciated.

You could always text message him via the computer to his cell phone. I used to do that all the time when Mike was away - and it was free since it went from the computer and incoming messages were free.

I get angry like that, too! Glad it's not just me!! Sorry you wrecked your phone, though. Hopefully things will sort themselves out shortly.

Things just aren't going well for you. We all have felt that way about the stupid phones at one time (hundreds) or another. For him, he was probably at the end of his rope from driving and that just sent him over the end. We already know you are at the end of your rope. He is used to being your man, your protector, your provider. Right now, money isn't there so he isn't providing for you. He knows you are miserable so he isn't protecting you. He can't tell you how lonely and depressed and confused he is because he is your man and is trying to be strong. When emotions are ready to snap, it is easier to cuss out the cell phone. Hang in there.

I pitched a cordless phone across the carport once, right into the side of the laundry room.. yep, fits of temper can be part of the gig.

ROFLMAO OMGAWD I am sorry I am NOT laughing AT you I am laughing WITH you really ...really.
Been there done that and thought I was the only one ...nope hehehehehehehehe
I never stomped on the phone .....did it feel good?????
I have thrown it out the window ...ooppss hit the truck passing me broke into a million pieces
Beat it with a baseball bat.
ALWAYS get the insurance for your phones LOLLLLLLLLLLLL

Now yall know its HIS fault LOL he gets mad when I dont answer, well he knows the sprint phone ( I dont have anymore) only got signal 2 miles from my house and in the parking lot at school (work)
Cingular phone was good except when I was in my office at school.
Now when I moved to texas first house had NO signal and this house is weird....sometimes I get awesome other times he thinks I am ignoring him then I will get messages and voice mail for the past 4 hours uuuggggg

I know its frustration at not being together and not being able to talk to each other and well BOTH of us are hard headed, stubborn, out spoken, strong willed .................LOL

Keep the faith and let go of the anger and hurt feelings and forgive. I know I will say I am sorry even if it was HIS fault.
I have heard hot tempered people love as hot as thier temper is ......

Thumbs up

Isn't it IRONIC that I have ( Rather HAD ) a Sprint Phone ? What is up with that ?! Sprint Sucks Big ones. They are not meant for Country Living !

I have Forgave but maybe not forgotten! lol.

He called me yesterday...His demeanor was cool and calm and he acted like nothing happened. (I HATE THAT!! WHY DO MEN DO THAT??!!) I said Oh no BUB ! We're gonna get this straightend out. He let me have my moment and it was all fixed. I told him that if he ever hung up on me again that I would find him and hurt him. We squared away the important stuff and had a nice talk. I was happy. Thank GOD. I can't have this stuff go on !! Not now..when I know what I am capable of. MURDER. Of cellular devices.

Ms Sage...LOL...trying to refrain from a comment that would be totally inappropriate but Oh So ME !! ha ha

Sprint wants me to pay $179 for a new phone. WHATEVER. Didn't like it that much and hardly miss it now.

However the Hubbs found out about it today (Friday 11/1). I didn't tell him about it before because he never asked. When he called this afternoon on the home phone, he finally asked me why I wouldn't pick up my cell.....that he has been calling it all morning......After I explained the cause and effect of our fight the other night he didn't say anything... Except "Well that was real smart. Do you feel better ?" and I shouted YES ! YES ! YES ! and burst into song.

he he he

Actually, now that I think about it, I have deliberately destroyed one cell phone. I was doing some work for a friend who runs a large citrus ranch. I had 3 freakin phones attached to me!! And he kept calling one of them, knowing when I was going to get to Hanford. Hello??!!?? I had just left! He called me 6 times in less than 20 miles. I told him that if he called me one more time I would toss the phone out the window. 2 minutes later the phone rings... and went out the window! Landed in the middle of the westbound lanes of SR198, right where it crosses SR99. God that felt GOOD!!!
