Training

Could some of you please let me know about how much money your significant others needed while they were out on the road with their trainers each week?

I know when he is on his own in his own truck that we will have him situated so that he can cook, etc at least some of the time. However, he is getting ready to go out with his trainer and we are trying to budget.

HELP!!

I'm not sure how much mine took, but we were sort of short on cash at the time, so he took a lot of snackie type things...like those 6 packs of cheese crackers, etc...I think he ate a lot of stuff like that as opposed to actual meals...BUT, he was told by someone in his class that the trainer was suppposed to help pay for some of his food, etc....b/c the trainee is making the trainer money b/c it's like they're team driving, so the trainer is getting paid for the miles that he drives PLUS the miles that your s/o drives. Make sense? Unfortunately my s/o's trainer was apparently not aware of this train of thought...LOL...or the guy my s/o knew was dead wrong...Anyway, it's something to check on...

Hope this helps!!

Heart

When my Husband left, he had about $40.00 to his name. This lasted through the Bus trip to get there and through orientation. When he finally went out, His Trainer took him to Walmart and showed him the easy and quick stuff to get. Snacks, microwavable and drinks - and also how to budget his $$. His Trainer has paid for a couple of his meals too when they stop somewhere nicer. I had to get a small loan from my parents (gulp.felt real wonderful *rolling eyes*) to put on his credit card so he could use it. So in the past 3 weeks he is spending roughly $58 -$65 a week on Food, Supplies and Showers, ect. I am sure once he is out on his own that part will be so much better. We can plan it all out and make it work around him.
