Actually, a short tour back into the not too distant past would show that Political Correctness got it's start back in Communist Russia. Wow.

You gotta wonder how the hell this country's still holding together if we have people here like THAT who find Ho-Ho-Ho offensive. Maybe if the staffing lady didn't dress up like a Ho. Ho. Ho. Then she wouldn't be offended.

I Love snow. So much I almost loaded my pants when this came across NOAA about 30 Minutes ago:

FORECAST FOR ROGERS ARK-WEDNESDAY-MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 40% CHANCE OF SNOW. WEDNESDAY NIGHT-MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A 50% CHANCE OF SNOW.

Followed by this: SYNOPSIS FOR WEEK AHEAD: A WARM FRONT WILL PASS THROUGH ARKANSAS/THE OZARKS MONDAY AND TUESDAY, BRINGING WARMER TEMPS TO THE AREA, AND SOME STORMS TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT, MAINLY SOUTH OF I-44. A CANADIAN COLD AIR MASS WILL MOVE IN LATE TUESDAY NIGHT/EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING. RAIN WILL BE CHANGING TO SLEET AND SNOW AND WILL SNOW THROUGH WEDNESDAY, POSSIBLY INTO THANKSGIVING.

OMGosh!

I was just thinking of Australian slang and how some of the words or phrases could very easily be misconstrued or in the least, obtrusive.

I did use an aussieslang web page (so don't quote me) Not trying to insult any Australian's vocabulary.


acid, barbie, bas###d, home and hosed, f#g, scheme and lets just finish this list with the "Tally Ho" phrase -seems fitting! plus I'm tired and got to check last post & work in the wee morn.

None of those words had "bad" meanings, but.... how are they being interpreted by children, especially if adults in Australia are using Ho, f#g, bas###d like "we do" in their vocabulary.
