What is the Difference?

Truckers Wife vs Significant Other.

Is there paper work required to ride along on a road trip with the driver of the Truck/Comp?
What needs to be done?
Drivers license, birth certificate, drivers signature , what?

Thank you for your answers.

I had to get permission from the company before I could allow any of my family to ride with me...

Significant other means you're not married

As far as most of the world is concerned, we are married. To go along with Mike, we have to have a signed passenger's authorization. We do one up for a year (they have a form) and renew it every year. They don't ask for proof of marriage, driver's license, I.D., etc.

It basically puts the responsibility of the passenger on the driver for the most part.

Minpins you forgot next of kin LOL
The paperwork is too funny. As long as your over 18 you fill in the form and away you go. but under 18 you have to be the "Child or Grandchild" of the driver. That has to be proven with SS card having the same last name or birth cert having your last name on it. ie your daughter is mother.
David had to do this with his daughter so she could ride with him while her Mother had surgery.

A friend of mine stopped at a broke down truck. He gave the driver a lift. Was pulled over by the PD and given a ticket for an unauthorized passenger. No valid paperwork to have the passenger.
