do you ever worry about your spouse cheating on you?

I am soooo nervous I think my husband might be having something on the side? I just have that awful feeling and I ask him and it always turns into a fight? I haven't seen him in 3 weeks and he has no interest in coming home. We have two boys and they are still very little 3 and 1 and I just don't know what to think? Any comments?

Hun, the only one that can really answer that question is you. But I have to tell you, if he is just starting out in the business, he could be "in love" with his new job. I know that my hubby became like a big kid with a new toy, and I thought that he would never come home. LOL Eventually the new wears off, and they want to come home. Hang in there.

But was it that way before he started driving? Or is it since he started driving. I mean, they are out there, learning a new job, and everything is so huge to them, you know. They are running all over the country, and they are driving in new places every day. When my hubby started driving, he just wanted to get to the point that he felt comfortable with the job. So I know that he was driving to learn, Know what I mean?

Does he have a laptop with him? And an air card? If not, try looking into it and you guys can "visit" via video a night or two a week - the three year old should really like that, seeing his dad and all. And I think you can tell a lot by their faces, you know?

Try not to fight for the boys' sake and, if he does have something on the side, you'll figure it out soon enough and then you'll have to figure out where to go from there.

Hang in there - it's really tough when they're out and you're not used to it (it doesn't get easy to get used to it but at least you DO get used to it).

I would have to ditto Bullhauler's wife...she just described MY dh perfectly!

I say...give him the benefit of the doubt, UNLESS you get 'evidence' that points to it. I would think that being OTR wouldn't give much opportunity to really get a 'relationship' going, especially not within 3 weeks...I talk to my dh numerous times each day, and am always surprised at how grueling his job is. By the time he shuts down each evening, he's completely wiped out!

I hope it works out for you though...keep your chin up and have faith in your relationship. This could just be that initial separation anxiety.

My hubby and I went thru the fires of Hell when he first started driving. He was gone nearly 10 weeks, with little interest in coming home. He was like a kid with a new toy. Give it time. The new will wear off, and eventually he will want to be home with you as much if not more than he wants to be out there.

give it some time. and i seriously doubt that he would have the opportunity to have a relationship. i mean, unless he is dedicated, he has got to be all over the place. don't worry too much. cat

For some people it's like an addiction just can't get enough of that road.after a wile it will pass and when he gets home you'll already have his next bag packed so he can get out there and make that money
