Forever grateful

I will be forever grateful my Momma didn't name me Grace! I am a world class clutz sometimes, and last night, I did it again!

I had just threaded myself thru the DISASTER I had made in the laundry room. That room is enough to trip, fall and break your neck and you wouldn't be found til NEXT Christmas... And I made it thru there with no mishaps...

I went to walk across my bedroom which was NOT booby trapped, and stubbed my toe SO HARD I saw stars! And not even the usual big toe or baby toe victim either! I stubbed the toe right next to my baby toe so hard I took a huge of flesh out of it!

Yes, I am so grateful Momma didn't name me Grace. A "Bonnie" can be a clutz, as can a "Blondie" and a "Mamabear" is EXPECTED to be somewhat UNgraceful. But can you imagine the ribbing I would get if I were named "Grace"?

OOOHHH!!!! Did you do the "It hurt so bad you screamed silently because you couldn't make any noise" scream? If so, I really feel for you. I've hit body parts hard enough for that a few times. I have learned the hard way where our bed is at. I actually broke my toe once hitting the bed frame in the dark. Once. Now I stick my hand out in front of me and sweep it around to find the bed in the dark BEFORE my feet get to it. I've also learned to check my flight path before the light is off and remember where things are at. Then barring children or small animals parking in front of me in the dark, I can usually navigate without damaging my appendages.

My grandaughter is named Gracie. She has a broke arm right now. She went roller skating and held on to the wall the entire time, except for when she fell and broke her arm. She broke her ankle a couple of years ago jumping on a trampoline. She can be standing still and fall down. We ask her Mom all the time why she named her Gracie. She got all of her genes from her Mom, her Mom broke her arm going fishing.

This is the kind of clutz I am too! And like I said, I am sure grateful I wasn't named Grace!

Yes, I was doing that silent scream thing. I almost threw up, I hit it so hard!

It's starting to heal now, but I am sure cautious of bumping it!

I walked right into a big storage bin this morning. Had shoes on but SS, who was standing in the door, gave me one of those "WTF???" looks.
I think he was afraid to just go ahead and laugh...

Oh Lordy do I know how you all feel !! Fathers day 3 years ago I went to get out of a waterbed . I climbed down the bed and stepped with the left foot and I thought I had brought the right foot beyond the bed rail. Well brought the foot down hard on the rail and lost all sense of nice mouth. Limped around all day and the next morning still hurting thought I'd go out to the wood pile and work it off. Yeah!!!! well I dropped a large piece of hickory on the ??????? foot.Well offf to the hospital ,exrays and all and they told me to stay off it for 4 weeks . Like I'm gonna do that. Not
