Takin' off
Ratchet and I are loading the rv and leaving for a couple of days. We won't go far but need to leave the stress of the last couple of years behind.
Leave the Thundering Herd, bills, neighbors, obligations, work... We haven't had more than a few short hours without having to call dispatch, or kids calling with a disaster or going to do family things or some gol darned mess that needs to be taken care of... in, well... hmmm, a LONG time.
Now, it will be just him and me, all by ourselves for a while.
Everyone be safe and will be back shortly.

Made it back in moderately decent condition...

Rained Friday night and Saturday. (not a problem, promise)

Had prime rib and yummy things for a Mother's Day buffet. (none of our kids in sight, either)

Went for a short drive, had a nice grilled tbone for supper and crashed.

Now it's back to everyday, normal things.

Ah,well, take the chances you get and run with 'em.
