Need some advice on buying a bed Now that our current horrible bed has caused us to have to sleep apart (hubby can't sleep on our mattress anymore- hurts his back) I am desperately searching for a new bed for our Christmas gift this year. I miss sleeping beside my husband! Anyone have a mattress that they love and have good feedback on? Has anyone tried the Sleep Number beds, and are they worth the money? We want a kind-sized bed so this will be a big investment for us. I don't want to buy something we are miserable with again in just a few years. These things are anywhere from $1500 - $3000!!!! Are they really worth it Monkey Boy? How long do they last before starting to wear down? I have went to purchase and backed out a few times because I thought they werent worth the extra buck. As far as beds...idk what kind it was but my momma had the stiffest bed around. She credits that bed for her not having as much back issues anymore. Also one of those waterbed/matress things...its a waterbed but its a matress....one of the soundest sleeps I ever had was on that bed. __________________ Obama? McCain? I would advise against a 'pillow top' mattress. You can't flip it, so they won't last as long. Wish someone had told me before I bought mine a year ago.... oh well... live & learn.... LOL I had a memory foam matress topper years ago & it was like sleeping on a cloud. I loved it!! Cost was around $100 for a queen size at Sam's Club. Might be worth thinking about to try that before spending all that money of a regular memory foam matress. Paula aka MrsOcean
