Who decorates for the holidays at your house?

We (hubby and nephew) put up the Christmas tree this weekend....its pretty but MARTHA would not be impressed...LOL. Someday I will take the time to make it awesome, this year I will enjoy the work of a 12 year old.......it is the best right????

Who decorates at your house for the holidays, Easter, Halloween etc???

My 19 year old and her boyfriend decorated my entire house over the weekend.

The fact that I did not have to do it made it the most beautiful decoractions I've ever seen!!

I usually do with some assistance from the hubby or kids for the stuff out of my reach. The boys like to help with the tree, as they usually get a new ornament every year. I'll actually have to separate out the ones for my oldest since he has his own place now!

Usually, I have something for Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas of course. I sort of slacked off this year though.

Well, this year it was a bit different as we're living with our daughter and son-in-love for a while. So it worked like this: Daughter is in charge because she was born to be the Dictator of a small tropical island nation. She orders and the rest of us smile and obey as she has a wonderful way of telling you something and you totally agree.

My Husband and SiL did the outside and hung the bannister garlands. She & I did the inside of the house calling on the men when we needed a strong arm or more height. Then the whole family (kids included) decorated the tree that night.

I forgot to add that the cats like to help UN-decorate! Needless to say, breakable ornaments do not go at the bottom of the tree!

Usually, hubby gets tree and decorations out of attic. This year, he took the baby out to the truck while my oldest and I got the stuff out of the attic. As usual, I put the tree up and fluffed the branches. Hubby and I get the decorations out and the oldest decorates the top of the tree while my daughter decorates the bottom, because she is shorter. The baby wanted to help this year so Daddy helped him put a couple of unbreakable ornaments on. Then, I rearrange the ornaments to separate same colors and fill in big holes, etc. (this is when the family makes fun of me for redecorating every year ) I also hang stockings and put out other decorations. Hubby always puts tree topper on. We have a prelit tree now but before we got it hubby always untangled lights and got them working, then put them on the tree. His job is a lot easier now.
