| Help..Stitches are coming OUT from my wrist!!! Yukk factor here about 10000!!! Last night my wrist was itching in the area where I had my surgery 4 weeks ago maybe closer to 5 weeks now but anyways...it was itching like crazy!! So I got some hand lotion and put a small amount on the very thin 3 inch faint red scar as I rubbed it in a white "blob" appeared! I dabbed of the rest of the lotion and YUKK...there IS an internal stitch coming out of my wrist!!!! I thought it was just a loose piece of stuff put when I GENTLY pulled on it the skin an inch up my arm pulled tight!!! My incision has been healed shut for over 3 weeks now, there were no external stitches at all...doc said he did it that way to help reduce scarring. I know this thing is infected as the drainage last night was proof of that. So I sat here last night just being "icked out" and wishing the surgons office was open!!!  I shall call them today and see if I can get in....of course I have it covered up but its just NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!

| That is not good news!  Hope you can see the surgeon today. The infection can get nasty in a hurry. But the itching is a great sign! That means healthy skin is growing back in place. I hope it goes well for you.

| You know, there are two type of stitches, soluble and non-soluble. I'm kinda wondering if they used the non-soluble, (the kind you get removed after a week or so from a surface wound) instead of the others? Just a thought, but get it checked out! If there was a hole created by the stitch coming OUT, then there's route IN for infection, please get it sorted quick. Antibiotics are not the best dessert to have with Christmas turkey! LOL |

| Just got back from the doctor, he cut the stitch the rest of the way out, and said I am just one of the few people he has met that their body will not allow the stitches to disolve quickly or at all.....it just happens is what he said. So I go back next week for a recheck, any sign of infection just call and he will get me a script for antibiotics and things should be just fine and dandy....LOL....its just kinda "creeepy"
