Hiya, JenLaw, and welcome!
I see you do invitations...do you make them with home-made stationary? If not, that's a good project to include the kids!

My kids loved make it, and sending the stationary as Christmas gifts to Grandma, teachers, and Mommy, of course! LOL

Thanks ladies for the warm welcome I got to see him again this past weekend only for an hour though at a rest stop of of 76 to bring him some food for the week. It was nice till I headed home and jumped a curb thanks to my GPS not telling me I had a sharp turn coming up like it normally does and dark freakin roads to get there I'm fine car not so much the airbags deployed and I got home fine but when I woke up there was a big puddle turns out the curb punctured the transmission pan I'm ***hoping*** that's all it did because then that's a cheap fix anything else and it's bye bye car :X

His trainer is pushing him to get all his hours done by the end of this week so he can see if he can get him home next week before his upgrade to help us move. I think he has about 58 hours left after this mornings drive so I hope they keep the loads & miles coming it would relieve so much stress.

Welcome to the forum. Being a "truckers" wife takes getting used to but with some support from a best friend, relative or even us here on the board you CAN do it. Ask all the questions you want there are folks here with years of experience and good advice, come here to rant; we all do it or to just chat and relax. After a few months it will all be old hat.

So how is your car? I hope not too expensive to fix. I do know about the absent mindedness thing though. I was in such a hurry to get home to talk to my guy after work last night that I turned in front of a bus! Not smart. Thank god I drive a car with some power under the hood and she got me out of the situation. I will be more careful for awhile.

It is always so nice to see your guy even if it is for just a short visit isn't it?

It came to $233 for the damage the pan was cracked and I pinned some lines so not crazy expensive but that takes away money that was suppose to be used for the move next week. We've been penny pinching so hard the last few months because he was unemployed and his benefits were #### :X It should be ready tomorrow so we'll see how it drives with out me all on nerves I know there were some tranny issues before the accident I just hope it didn't make it worse this is my 'beater car' that saves me a ton on gas since we have a conversion van as well but it only gets around 10mpg. I can fill it up and it'll last me for three weeks just doing regular errands whereas the van costs about $90 to fill and it lasts a week :X so keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi Ladies, just had a wonderful time with my man he was home for the week, wont see him again till thanksgiving.
He is wanting to head up to Washington in the spring, I have mixed feelings about it, One it means we get to go home Yeah
two am worried about how the economy is at the moment and told him not till he has a for sure job lined up. I dont want to move and not have any money for anything.....he has no unemployment left, used up everybit.....and with no jobs in prospects i told him it is best to hold on to the job till he has more experience. As much as i want to go home too. Talk about mixed feelings too.

I think we all have the "mixed feelings" thing going on from time to time... I have 8 years of experience at this, and there are still days when I think I am losing my marbles..

It gets better, really it does...

But when you feel the need to talk, to rant, to cry, etc... just pop in... someone is always here to understand, and the guys can always offer the flip side of the coin.
