I know how you feel about the GERMS!! My husband had an accident when he was young and dmaged his spleen. Now he has to have antibiotic treatments every 6 months, and we absolutely can not spread germs to him!

Lysol spray is my best friend! Can't keep the kids from getting sick, but I do everything possible to avoid it!

Hope you feel better soon! Just took my youngest out for ice cream...HEY I GOT A KIDS CONE!! SO NOT TECHNICALLY BAD RIGHT!! LMAO

If you don't cheat every now and then it will never work. I hope everyone gets over this cold stuff or whatever it is we all seem to have. My family started this diet thing ing January. They called it a diet, I called it suicide. You could only eat like 2 slices of bread a week, I couldn't do it. Even as a diabetic I cheat every now and then. If someones birthday is coming up, I watch everything I eat for a week and cheat on that day. I also do extra walking to keep my sugar low. With all the birthdays in my family I get to cheat about once a month. If I didn't cheat once a month someone would be dragging me out of the candy aisle at some store.

The Best New Exercise You Can Do at Your Desk

I know a couple of you talked about working in a office
And of course if your stuck in the truck

Quote:
If you feel like a slouch because you're always hunched over, straighten up with this simple exercise called the serratus shrug. It works a muscle called the serratus anterior, which runs along your rib cage under your arm pit. When this muscle is weak—as it is in most guys—it causes your shoulder blades to tilt forward and down. This results in "rounded shoulders," giving you a permanent slump. But you can strengthen your serratus anterior quickly and easily—in front of your TV or even at your office. And all you need is a chair.

Thanks, baack! This exercise will probably help me to alleviate some pain I've been having in my shoulders from "slouching".

I don't diet persay

but I have something I do to keep my weight normal(for me that is). I also would not join a "group" simply because I don't have the time to dedicate to it right now. Plus, I may not even get into school so I may not even belong on a truckers forum. Hope that won't be the case though.

I eat lots of good meats. Grass-fed beef, dairy from cows and chickens that have been raised naturally without growth hormones etc. It's hard, believe me, to shop but I just had to make the effort. I eat fruits, veggies, nuts and lots of Olive Oil in salads and cooking. I do interval training which consists of 10-20 minutes of workout a day, nothing more. My 10 min, to give you an idea, consists of 10 minutes on a stationary bike. 3 min regular pedaling, east going. Then, 1 min of as fast as you can go, then rest 1 min, then fast. Repeat to 5 times and I'm done. I will burn calories(fat)for the whole, next 24 hours. If you think that sounds easy, get back to me when you've tried it, lol!!
