| That's what I thought when I read about eating that way and the workout Let me know if you try the workout |
| ||||
| No I haven't tried your work out. I don't have a stationary bike or a gym membership. I'm still hovering around with the same 9 lb loss but I had a pretty bad day - things just weren't go my way - and I can't even tell you all I ate. And that .. I'm not really all that full - I could go for dinner.. ![]() I guess today will be a very very off day and I'm going to avoid the scale so I don't have to see the damage....

| You'd have to eat 3500 calories (I think that is close anyway)to gain one pound. Just pick up where you left off. That's what I try to do Quote:

| I am having a few beer tonight with hubby..well him in TX and me here...LOL cause truck is being worked on and he is in hotel...so from past experience I know that means bigtime calories...but only finished my son'e cereal this morning (his first day of kindergarden, so was he was too excited to eat) and got a doghnut for lunch when i was out picking up a coffee running errands, and had one hot dog at school bar-b-q, so I am sure I saved enough calories for two beer tonight! (well they are light beer, so maybe three..LMAO) Still no excersise though...really need to do some crunches or something to work on that mid section...wonder if the dog will sit on my feet for me? |

| Hey, enjoy your beer there is some great info on a free website but I know I can't post the name here. If I can let me know and I will. But anyway, it is an awesome, little site. It teaches you how many calories to take in a day and teaches you that to go over one day and under the next is best for your metabolism. In other words, indulge once in awhile and then some days, don't eat as many calories. They say women need about 1200 and not below. Also, if you work out, you burn. So for example. If you burn 300 walking 2 miles or whatever. You need to eat more. Because if your meals add up to 1200 and you burn 300, that means you've only given your body 900, not enough. So, you eat another 150-200 calories so that you at least come close to 1200. These "extra calories" we earn when we burn need to be at least, partially replaced or your body will delve into your lean muscle mass as it will think it's starving. Probably heard a lot of this stuff. Right now I don't count calories, I just eat the way I mentioned earlier. But if you are counting, it doesn't hurt to go over once in awhile, in my opinion. Im sure there are people here that know some good pointers too. One thing I don't believe in and that is depriving myself of something I enjoy, once in awhile. It's really about moderation Denise in Sams Valley ORQuote:

| I have SOOOOO been slacking. First my cold and then my bf being back. I keep checking and I'm hovering around the same 9 lbs I lost but I haven't made any effort in over a week to lose more! I also know that controlling my eating will only take me so far. I need to do some kind of exercise and I'm thinking about just taking a walk - because unfortunately just walking after a while will leave me winded. I've mapped out a 3 mile walk I could do around town. I don't know how long it will take me, maybe an hour but after practicing it for a while I could go fasters. What do you all do in the winter without a gym membership. Because I know when winter comes and it's dark at 4pm and it's freezing cold I will NOT be walking. Maybe I can do exercise tape (if it's not too much jumping around because I do live on the second floor).
