well day 2 for me.
Had simple cereal for breakfast but then came into work and the boss had flowers, a bear and donuts for me for my 2 yr anniversary so I had a french cruller.
Still don't think that's so bad. Still need to go to the supermarket and get healthier stuff for lunch/dinner.
Oh and I stepped on the scale this morning - so at least I know where I'm at.
Lunch: really had nothing at home so I cooked up potatoes and onion in butter Pam spray and ate that with a cup of milk - I'm desperate till I go to the supermarket which prob won't be till tomorrow cause I think I'm going to the bf's family tonight.
BUT someone brought in fried plaintains and I had 4, and they were big, that can't be good.
I gotta get some will power!
Dinner: I went to his parents and had rice and beans and eggs with water (just 1 cup instead of 8 toda). Oh and chocolate truffles and munchkin donuts. I actually brought the truffles myself (just a box of Russel Stovers) because the bf's sister has been going through a hard time money and health wise and so I got her a "pick me up". The uncle brought muchkins for no reason. lol
Really over did it but tomorrow is another day!

I stopped at a local farmers market
Got these really cool miniature acorn squash $2 bucks the size of a quarter
Some mini yellow squash 3 for a $buck
I guess the only bad part is I fry them in butter
and a large head of cauliflower which I will steam in my rice maker

And I plan on washing them down with Miller genuine draft 64

But no fast food

Since my heart attack 18 months ago, I have TRIED to do better at what I eat.

Many more fresh veggies and fruits, WAY less fried foods, and ALMOST all meals cooked on the truck.

Have hubby park "in the back 40" at the truck stops, just to force myself to walk.

I haven't LOST any weight, but, I haven't GAINED any, either. Which, before my heart attack, I was gaining weight STEADILY, at about 5-7 pounds every 6 months.

So, I guess that's SOME progress, right?

Oh, man....the FOOD in the casinos....I'm drooling....
I most DEF always have a hard time eating "healthy" in them.
Food is expensive, but, OH, so scrumptious!!

Do NOT feel bad about going off your diet! We are ALL entitled to go off for a few days, every now and again!
Don't look at it as "starting over"...look at it as, your diet had a few days of "down time"!!
