i think that slow and steady progress is what will have the most lasting effect. we did not put the weight on overnight , so it will take time to remove it.
i used to think that my weight gain was more of a "time of life" thing and that 1 day when i finally entered "the change of life stage" it would suddenly be gone. i would wake up every morning hoping that this would be the day , and look in the mirror and see that the weight was still there. ha ha
so , another day begins. good luck to all

I've also heard that eating 5-6 small meals a day is better for you than eating 3 large meals a day?
I know that hubby is what I call a "grazer", and eats 5-6 x's every day, and never gains an ounce! He USED to eat the fatty fried garbage from the hot bars in the truck stops, but since I've been on the truck, I try to keep fresh fruits, nuts, and yogurt on the truck. So now, he will "graze" on that, instead.

We have been TRYING to eat breakfast as soon as possible after waking, as I always FEEL much BETTER all day long if I do. AND, I'm not as likely to snack on stuff that is bad for me, if I eat a good, healthy, balanced breakfast.

That's my prob too - but finally making it to the market tonigh to stock my fridge and freezer with veggies for every meal!
I just realized another thing I'm going to face. I will have to shop in smaller amounts from now on cause I have no one to help me carry the stuff! The kitty litter is prob going to be the heaviest thing I buy... oh well. Such is the life.

Oh and the fajita's I'm actually going to make tonight!
And my bf is a meat skip-the-taters kinda guy but luckily I have premaid steak strip in the fridge just sitting there so I was going to throw them in.
And me being a vegetarian I could use the fake steak strips if I wanted. That fake meat is soy/tofu/protein vitamins/healthy stuff and I don't find it harmful throwing those in.
