I've been a bad dieter this past 2 days. Can't get out of the funk of snacking inbetween meals - TGIF because work is getting on my nerves and I think I'm snacking just to calm down.

We all do it, so no worries.
Next time I talk to my sister-in-law, I'll get her recipe for homemade granola. She makes the BEST granola snacks, using all-natural ingredients, with no sugar.(her mom is diabetic)
It actually satisfies a lot of the "urges" ie:crunchy, chewy, sweetness,that pesky fixation of hand to mouth, etc. LOL
It truly IS very, very good, though!
I'll post it here when I get it from her.

yum granola - my mom's on that kick too but the one she made had cranberries and I don't like em. Call me a freak but I don't like much fruit - but I'll eat almost any vegetable...

no change on the scale this week - 2lbs in 2 weeks is not good but with Chineese on Friday, burgers on Saturday and italian on Sunday - completely with cookies, ice cream and pastries throughout the weekend it may be good news that I didn't gain 10 lbs!

just keep trying. i lose weight very slowly. i have managed to take off 30 lbs since march. it comes off slowly, but i dont diet everyday . i eat on weekends and special events. it works for me. the thought of dieting makes me nuts. i take it one day at a time.

well by some kind of miracle, the day aunt flo came I also lost 2 lbs. Don't know how that works at all but I hope it sticks!

I will also join this diet thread. I have tried to cut back since May. But got serious when my hubby left at the end of June. I too thought it would be nice to be a smaller me. I've lost 18# total and I can't exercise a lot but try to do what I can. The best thing that has helped me was to have a buddy that also started dieting with me. We talk almost every day. It really has helped to have to report in.

As far as those of us who like to snack these are things that have been a big help for me. Quaker rice cakes carmel are my favorite. They are a lot better than what I remember rice cakes tasting like. Popsicles, fudgesicles, creamsicles that don't have sugar in them. Great thing to have around 10-40 calories each!

Yea I like the sugar free chocolate popsicles because they last a long time to eat so you feel like you're getting more lol
