Good Pick-up Lines Actually Work On Women

Quote:
Pickup lines are either just bad enough to make women hate you, or they're so bad women think you're funny. And according to a recent study, some pickup lines might actually work.
OnePoll.com conducted a survey in which they asked women various questions about pick-up lines, and about which ones worked (if any) and how likely she would be to talk to a guy that tried to use one.
According to the responses, 59% said they liked most men's one-liners and, surprisingly, 40% said they were still dating a man who had used a funny pick-up line, joke or quip when they first started talking.
Of course, this has as much to do with the joke itself as anything else. Lines like "do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?" scored high with women, while less clever ones like "I've lost that loving feeling, will you help me find it?" didn't rate very interesting.
"Women like a guy with a sense of humor and a cheesy pick-up line is a good way of displaying that," said a spokesman. "To fire off a good pick-up line the man will be confident, and women like confident men. Light-hearted and clever lines work very well. But there are also some awful ones."
Here are some other pick-up lines you should watch out for. The good, the bad and the ugly.
Quote:
"I want to be your tear drop, so I could be born in your eyes, live on your cheeks, and die on your lips."
"Sorry, but you owe me a drink. [Why?] Because when I looked at you, I dropped mine."
"If you were a steak you would be well done."
"I can't find my puppy, can you help me find him? I think he went into this cheap motel room."
"Do you clean your clothes with windex? [awkward pause] Because I see myself in your pants."

Funniest line ever used on me.

"I've spent 30 minutes trying to think of a good line to give you, but all I could think of was "damn she's as pretty as my horse".

I cracked up laughing.

He was indeed and he was a champion steer roper. Actually........he did have a pretty horse and it's mane was the same color of my hair. Yes I did date him for a while but well.........he was much older, I was young and well......he spanked me one day. I showed him the curb.

I figured he had to be a Texan with some good stock to make a line like that not be an insult. Got to be careful of women and horses that are a little too narrow between the eyes.

Best one I ever heard:

-You know how it feels when you gotta pee real bad?
-Yeah
-Well, will you tell me if I gotta pee real bad?

The guy wasn't really trying to pick me up, just making a joke, but he got me laughing. Now if someone used that line to actually try to pick me up, I would probably have a very different reaction. But as a harmless joke, it was funny.

My hubby asked me if I wanted to go to a nudist camp with him for the weekend. LOL!!! That was a first and a good pick up line as well. Then I find out, HE WAS SERIOUS!

It actually took him a year to get me to go.
