Woman Is Allergic to Her Husband's Sperm

Quote:
The only thing newlyweds Julie and Mike Boyde wanted was a baby. The couple had already begun planning for a family and started to build a nursery in their Ambridge, Pa., home.

But a painful diagnosis shattered their dream of parenthood. They learned that Julie Boyde was allergic to her husband's semen.

"Due to an agreement with the Catholic school she worked for, in vitro fertilization was not an option for the Boydes."

Did they make her sign a paper saying she wouldn't do that or something? It's kind of weird for that to be thrown out there in the story. It seems like if she did not believe in doing it, it would state she didn't want to have that procedure. By it being stated that way, it makes it look like she would if she did not work at that school.
